Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman has been a distinguished professor of psychology since 1993. She is also the director for the Center for Public Policy Research, University of California Davis. Her name is often credited for initiating the contemporary science-based study of children's witness memory as well as child victim witnesses within legal contexts. Professor Goodman who is a prolific author with a wide range of papers and awards to her credit and is the recipient of numerous international and national prizes. She has provided policy and research consultations to many agencies and departments around the globe. She is a consultant at the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center, formerly the Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She was a part of several professional associations including the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. (Divisions of Experimental Psychology, Developmental Psychology Society for Children and Families policy and practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56) Professor Goodman is also a member of the Psychonomics Society, American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was president of the American Psychological Association's Developmental Psychology Division, as well as three Divisions: Children and Families Policy and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
